Assumes: you already have a company template file (for example, a branded document) that you can upload in Goodweek.

  1. Start a new message (or open the chat where you want to generate the document).

  2. Attach your template file to the message.

  3. In your prompt, explicitly tell the AI that the attached file is the template to follow (for example: “Use the attached file as the template for the document you generate.”).

  4. Describe what you want to create (type of document, key sections, required fields, tone, etc.).

  5. Send the message.

If you attach multiple files, specify which one is the template (for example: “Use Brand_Template.docx as the template; use the other attachments as source content.”).

If you are using the template in Document editing mode (not in a regular conversation), the fact that the file is treated as a template is only visible after you download the generated file, it won’t be reflected in the in-app document preview.
