Space sharing: what to know

Sharing a Space addresses a simple need: allowing several people to work within the same scope — an objective, a team, rituals — by relying on the same resources, without losing the coherence of the framework.

In other words, sharing a Space is not “giving access to everything”: it is about organizing the visibility of what makes up the Space (its knowledge, its actions, its settings) so that everyone contributes to the same effort, with a clear level of control.

This approach is based on a design choice: single ownership of settings, to avoid contradictions and keep governance easy to understand.

• The Space owner is the only person authorized to modify the Space’s settings.

• By default, the owner is the person who created the Space.

• Ownership can be transferred to any other member of the organization.

Once the Space is shared, members can view the key elements of the Space — actions, knowledge, basic settings — but cannot modify them.

Finally, Goodweek deliberately distinguishes what is shared from what remains personal: discussions carried out by users within a Space are never shared or made visible to other members.
