Create and Run an Action in Document mode

A
Written by Antoine Stempien

What you will accomplish: create an Action configured to produce a Document, then run it to get a structured draft ready to edit and export.

Create an Action in Document mode

  1. From your homepage or from a Space, click + Create a new action.

  2. At the Instructions step, find the sentence: "I want the AI to" and choose "create a document" from the dropdown.

  3. Write the Action's instructions: describe what the AI should produce, the tone, the expected structure, and any relevant context.

  4. Complete the Action setup.

Note: to learn more about configuring an Action in full, see the Actions articles in the Help Center.

Run an Action in Document mode

  1. Open your homepage or the Space that contains the Action you want to run.

  2. Find the Action and click Run.

  3. Goodweek opens the canvas and writes the document based on the Action's instructions.

  4. Review the content. You can refine it in two ways:

    • Directly in the canvas: click on any section and type your changes

    • Via the conversation panel: select a passage and type an instruction to rewrite it, or ask for broader changes across the whole document

  5. When you are satisfied with the result, export the document using the export icon at the top right of the canvas.

Confirmation: the Document appears in your Work history with a Document icon, and your file is ready to share.
