What you will accomplish: create a Document, refine its content, and navigate through its version history.
You can start a Document from two places:
From the homepage:
In the main input field, click the Chat selector at the bottom left.
Select Document from the dropdown. The option reads: Write and edit a document.
Type your instruction and press Enter (or click the send button).
From the navigation bar:
In the left navigation bar, click + Create.
Select Document as the type of Work you want to create.
Type your instruction in the text field and press Enter (or click the send button).
For example:
"Write a one-page meeting summary for a project kickoff. Include: objectives, key decisions, next steps, and owners. Use short sentences and a professional tone."
Goodweek writes a structured document directly in the canvas.
Refine your content:
You have two ways to edit the document once it is generated:
Directly in the canvas: click on any section and type your changes, as you would in a word processor
Via the conversation panel: select a passage and type an instruction to rewrite it, or ask for broader changes across the whole document
Navigate through versions:
Use the version history controls at the top of the canvas to move backward and forward through every saved state of the document. This lets you return to any earlier version or restore a change at any point.
Confirmation: your changes are saved automatically, and your Document appears in your Work history with a Document icon.
