Connect your Klaviyo account to Goodweek to manage profiles, lists, segments, campaigns, flows, and events directly from your AI workspace.

ℹ️ Governance note

Goodweek will never exceed the access levels granted to the user within Klaviyo, guaranteeing alignment with your organization's governance policies. Outcomes and available features may vary depending on each user's specific permissions and authenticated access.

📋 Prerequisites

Before any user can see and connect the Klaviyo integration, your organization admin must first enable it from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.

Admin Setup

The Klaviyo integration uses an API key. No OAuth flow or admin-level approval is required within Klaviyo. The connecting user must generate a Private API key from their Klaviyo account.

⚠️ Only users with API key access can connect

In Klaviyo, only users with the Owner, Admin, or Manager role can create Private API keys. Standard users (Analyst, Viewer, or custom roles without API access) cannot generate a key and will not be able to connect.

If a standard user needs to connect, ask an Owner or Admin in your Klaviyo account to generate a Private API key on their behalf and share it securely.

Generating a Klaviyo Private API Key

Before connecting in Goodweek, you need to generate a Private API key from your Klaviyo account:

  1. Log in to Klaviyo.

  2. Go to Settings → Account → API Keys.

  3. Scroll down to Private API Keys and click Create Private API Key.

  4. Give the key a descriptive name (e.g. Goodweek).

  5. Select Custom Key and grant at minimum Full Access to the scopes relevant to your use case (Profiles, Lists, Segments, Campaigns, Events, Flows).

  6. Click Create and copy the key immediately — Klaviyo only shows it once.

User Connection

  1. In Goodweek, go to Integrations.

  2. Find Klaviyo and click Connect.

  3. Paste your Klaviyo Private API key in the field provided.

  4. Click Connect to complete the setup.

Important Notes

  • Each user must connect using their own API key.

  • The API key inherits the permissions of the user who created it.

  • If the API key is revoked or deleted in Klaviyo, the integration will stop working. Generate a new key and reconnect.

  • You can revoke Goodweek's access at any time by deleting the API key from Klaviyo → Settings → Account → API Keys → Private API Keys.

Use Cases

  • Review and update profiles on demand. Retrieve specific profiles by email or ID, check their attributes and list memberships, and update their details from Goodweek.

  • Check list and segment membership. Retrieve the profiles in a specific list or segment from Goodweek to verify audience composition before launching a campaign.

  • Review campaign and flow status. Pull campaign details or check which flows are active in your account from a Goodweek conversation.

  • Track events and monitor metrics. Access Klaviyo metrics to review which events are being tracked and use that data to inform segmentation or campaign decisions.

Troubleshooting

I cannot generate an API key in Klaviyo

Only Klaviyo users with Owner, Admin, or Manager roles can create Private API keys. If you do not have one of these roles, ask an Owner or Admin to generate a key on your behalf.

The integration stops working after connecting

The API key may have been deleted or revoked in Klaviyo. Go to Klaviyo → Settings → Account → API Keys and verify the key is still active. If not, generate a new one and reconnect in Goodweek.

Integration not visible in Goodweek

Make sure your organization admin has enabled the Klaviyo integration from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.
