Connect your Jira account to Goodweek to manage issues, projects, sprints, and workflows directly from your AI workspace.
ℹ️ Governance note
Goodweek will never exceed the access levels granted to the user within Jira, guaranteeing alignment with your organization's governance policies. Outcomes and available features may vary depending on each user's specific permissions and authenticated access.
📋 Prerequisites
Before any user can see and connect the Jira integration, your organization admin must first enable it from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.
Admin Setup
The Jira integration (app name: Composio- Jira Connector) uses OAuth 2.0 via Atlassian. No admin approval is required for most organizations. However, some Atlassian organizations have "Third-party app access via OAuth" disabled at the organization level.
⚠️ Atlassian security toggle
If users see an "OAuth app access restricted" error when connecting, an Atlassian Organization Admin must enable third-party app access from admin.atlassian.com → Security → Third-party app access.
⚠️ Jira Cloud only
This integration supports Jira Cloud only. Jira Data Center and Jira Server installations are not compatible.
User Connection
In Goodweek, go to Integrations.
Find Jira and click Connect.
You will be redirected to Atlassian, where you will be asked to sign in and authorize access.
Select the Jira site you want to connect and click Accept to return to Goodweek.
Important Notes
Each user must connect their own account individually.
Goodweek can only access the projects and issues that your individual Jira account has permission to see.
This integration supports Jira Cloud only. Data Center and Server are not supported.
You can revoke Goodweek's access at any time from id.atlassian.com → Security → Connected apps → Composio.

Use Cases
Create and update issues from conversations. Log new Jira issues — bugs, tasks, or stories — with the right project, type, and fields directly from a Goodweek conversation, without navigating the Jira UI.
Search and triage issues using JQL. Run JQL queries from Goodweek to surface overdue issues, unassigned tasks, or sprint backlog items and act on them without opening Jira.
Transition issues through workflows. Move issues between statuses (e.g. In Progress → Done) directly from Goodweek to keep sprint boards and workflows up to date.
Log time and add comments. Record worklogs and add comments to issues from Goodweek after completing work, keeping issue history accurate without switching tools.
Troubleshooting
"OAuth app access restricted" when connecting
Your Atlassian organization has restricted third-party app access. An Atlassian Organization Admin must enable it from admin.atlassian.com → Security → Third-party app access.
Integration not visible in Goodweek
Make sure your organization admin has enabled the Jira integration from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.
