Goodweek will never exceed the access levels granted to the user within Gong, guaranteeing alignment with your organization's governance policies. Outcomes and available features may vary depending on each user's specific permissions and authenticated access.
📋 Prerequisites
Before any user can see and connect the Gong integration, your organization admin must first enable it from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.
Admin Setup
⚠️ Gong Technical Admin required — this step cannot be skipped
Unlike most integrations, Gong requires a Gong Technical Admin to complete the OAuth connection. This is a mandatory requirement enforced by Gong, not by Goodweek. Regular users and even Business Admins cannot authorize the connection — only a Technical Admin can. If a non-Technical Admin attempts to connect, they will see an "Insufficient permissions" error.
Gong handles OAuth at the organization level, meaning one authorized connection provides access to data across users and teams in your organization. A Gong Technical Admin must complete the following steps:
Log in to Gong with a Technical Admin account.
In Goodweek, go to Integrations and find Gong.
Click Connect. You will be redirected to Gong's OAuth consent screen.
In Gong, open the sidebar and click Admin centre at the bottom of the navigation menu. Note: Admin centre is only visible to users with Technical Admin permissions.
Review the OAuth app registration and the requested scopes.
Approve the connection from Admin centre → Ecosystem.
Return to Goodweek and complete the authorization flow by clicking Allow.
Who is a Gong Technical Admin?
A Technical Admin in Gong is a specific role distinct from Business Admin or regular user roles. If you are unsure who the Technical Admin is, go to Gong → Admin centre → Users and look for users with the Technical Admin role.
User Connection
Because Gong authorizes at the organization level, the connection is completed by the Technical Admin on behalf of the organization. Individual users do not need to complete a separate connection flow.
Important Notes
Only a Gong Technical Admin can authorize this integration. Business Admins and regular users will receive an "Insufficient permissions" error.
Gong's OAuth is organization-level, not per-user. The authorized connection provides access to data within the approved scopes across your organization.
You can revoke Goodweek's access from Gong → Admin centre → Ecosystem → Connected apps.

Use Cases
Retrieve and review call transcripts. Pull the transcript of any Gong call by ID or date range directly in Goodweek to review what was said, extract key points, or surface specific moments from a conversation.
Analyse team call activity. Retrieve aggregated activity statistics for your sales team or individual reps across a time period to understand call volume, engagement, and interaction patterns.
Review scorecard results for calls. Access the scorecard answers for calls reviewed during a given period to evaluate call quality and coaching outcomes across the team.
Manage Engage tasks and flows. List tasks assigned to reps, check the status of Engage flows, and assign prospects to specific sequences directly from Goodweek.
Troubleshooting
"Insufficient permissions" error when connecting
The account attempting the connection does not have the Gong Technical Admin role. Only a Technical Admin can authorize this integration. Ask your Gong Technical Admin to complete the connection.
I don't know who the Gong Technical Admin is
Go to Gong → Admin centre → Users and look for users with the Technical Admin role. If you do not have access to Admin centre, ask your workspace admin or contact Gong Support.
Integration not visible in Goodweek
Make sure your organization admin has enabled the Gong integration from the Goodweek Admin Panel under the Integrations tab.
